Once you’ve picked a material, the next decision is how your logo goes onto it. The main methods — full-color printing, screen printing, and laser engraving — produce completely different looks, suit different materials, and land at different price points.
Here’s how to match the decoration method to your material, your artwork, and your brand.
Full-color printing: unlimited color
UV and dye-sublimation printing lay down full CMYK across the surface, which is the only way to reproduce multi-color logos, gradients, photos, or artwork edge to edge. It’s the go-to for a mascot, a photographic destination, or any brand whose identity depends on specific colors. Modern printing is UV-cured and sealed for outdoor durability, and it wraps the whole wing, front and back.
Screen printing: bold, economical color
Screen printing pushes ink through a stencil, one color at a time. It’s crisp, punchy, and cost-effective for simple one- or two-color logos at volume, and it holds up well on both wood and plastic. When your mark is clean and your run is large, screen printing is often the best value per unit for a bold, readable brand.
Laser engraving: burned in permanently
Engraving uses a laser to burn a fine, permanent mark into wood or bamboo. It produces a warm, toasted, handcrafted line that enhances the grain, and it’s the most durable method of all — there’s nothing to peel or fade. It’s the natural choice for premium birch and bamboo boomerangs and for a refined, single-color look.
